SQL Server job to backup and restore database [on hold]

I need to create a SQL Server job that would run nightly and backup a database and restore the database with a different name. Example NorthDB (Original Database), NorthDB_test (backup database restored).

Do I need to create a backup device in SQL Server in order to do this?
