Best engine type for WHOIS data

I'm trying to decide on the better engine I should use for an application that will solely be used to store WHOIS data.

Looking at the DB engines site, I see two types that may meet the criteria (i.e. all text fields, unknown number of returned fields) that I have:

1. Document Stores, and


2. Wide Column Stores

Not a DBA by trade, so am I on the right track? Should I be looking at something else?

Any insight/comments appreciated.
