What is the recommended best practice in dealing with indexes that store very little amount of data (like a few or few hundred pages)?
Should these indexes be even maintained? Shouldn't they be dropped?
As far as I know indexes with less than around 5000 pages don't have to be rebuild/reorganized (see Paul Randal's blog posts on index fragmentation).
