SQL agent jobs performance is very slow in 2012 after migration from 2005

Index rebuilding agent jobs were working fine on 2005 . Recently we have migrated to 2012 . Now it is taking more time . Because of this other jobs are getting affected . What could be the reason for this slowness in 2012
