Can I revert to local logging in IIS 7.5 if ODBC fails?

Environment

I have 3 Servers running instances of IIS 7.5 hosting different websites.

1 Server is on Domain A, 2 Servers are on Domain B.

I have a one way trust setup from Domain A to Domain B.

SQL Server 2012 Express is on Domain B.

ODBC Logging is enabled for all 3 instances of IIS and is working properly.

Issue

For a yet unknown reason, occasionally Domain A will be unable to communicate to Domain B.

When this happens portions of a website hosted on Domain A will become unavailable since IIS is unable to log the activity.

Question

Is there a way to automatically revert back to logging to a local file when ODBC is unavailable? This would ideally be a temporary fix to increase stability for the website while I investigate the communication issue.

Process

I enabled ODBC by following these articles

I have been unsuccessful in finding anything regarding backup logging.
