Upgrade from SQL Server database server To SQL Server Report Server [on hold]

I'm quite new in SSRS and I have a SQL Server database, until now every report was created at C# code level, with RDLC files implicit in the program.

But now I want to move the reports to a report server, and get the reports from there.

I setup the SSRS but is empty (obviously), and I just don't get it, if I have to pull the data from the Database sever or must be inside the SSRS
